IUP 2010 SPRING BREAK BUS TRIP

Bus #2 - Philadelphia

Please note the following important information regarding the trip to Philadelphia on Friday, March 5, 2010 & the return trip to Indiana on Sunday, March 14, 2010.

  1. Buses depart from the HUB commuter lot at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010.
  2. Your original sign-up/purchase for a particular bus is final.  NO SWITCHING BUSES! NO EXCEPTIONS!
  3. You MUST show your IUP I-card each and every time you board the bus.  Please have it readily available. 
  4. NO REFUNDS!   Cost:   Philadelphia-$88
  5. NO TICKET TRANSFERSYou may NOT sell your ticket to another. 
  6. The Student Cooperative Association, Inc. is NOT responsible for lost, stolen or damaged luggage.
  7. BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Anyone attempting to load trunks, stereos, television sets, refrigerators, etc., will be instructed to remove these items from the bus.  The bus will not be held in order to enable you to find space for such items.  EACH PASSENGER IS PERMITTED TO TRAVEL WITH ONLY ONE SUITCASE AND ONE CARRY-ON BAG ONLY.

  1. Food stops - follow instructions.  Buses won't wait for stragglers.

A food stop will be made at the SIDELING HILL SERVICE PLAZA mile post 172.3 between exits 12 & 13 on the PA Turnpike.  This designated food stop will be used for the departure and return trip

  1. The Student Coop Association and Lodestar will not be responsible for persons missing the bus.

BUS PICK-UP LOCATIONS              NO UNSCHEDULED STOPS WILL BE MADE
IUP - Hadley Union Building (HUB) Commuter Parking Lot
Philadelphia - Buses will pull into the turning lane at 32nd & Market Street

If you have any questions, please call the HUB ticket desk at (724) 357-1313.  Remember, you must have a ticket to board the bus leaving Indiana and for returning to Indiana.  You are responsible for lost or stolen tickets, so keep them in a SAFE PLACE.

IUP, The Student Cooperative Association hereby gives notice that all arrangements for accommodations and/or transportation and/or activities are made upon the express condition that they shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or other irregularity that may be occasioned during this trip.  The right is reserved to cancel the trip if there are an insufficient number of participants.  If cancelled, all monies will be refunded.  In purchasing this ticket, the bus patron acknowledges his or her responsibility to be aware of and abide by all bus trip policies and procedures and all relevant University policies and local, state, and federal laws.  This includes but is not limited to the illegal use and/or transport of controlled substances (including alcohol, weapons, and/or drugs) as a patron of this bus trip.  Such use and/or transport will result in immediate judicial action by IUP and criminal action by the appropriate authority(ies).  As a condition of their chartered contract, the driver of the bus is required to report all violations of University policy and local, state and federal law to the Department of Student Activities & Organizations.  The bus patron must bear in mind that his/her person and property are subject to search by duly warranted law enforcement officials at any time.
